New Midi Controller
I’ve been tired of cramping my bear paws onto the two octaves of the MPK Mini. It’s a great controller for what it is, but the two octaves left me doing a lot of midi file layering instead of tracking things in one shot, and I’ve really been wanting some weighted or semi-weighted keys. I gave in when Sweetwater had a Nektar Panorama T4 open box.
I am NOT a piano man by any stretch of the imagination. This keyboard though has already made a significant difference in my midi tracks. The default velocity curve is great to begin with, and the action of the keyboard is set as such that you can truly take advantage of it.
Sadly, it does take up a massive part of the desk. The T6 might have been a little better with even more space but… there’s no room for a cup of tea on the desk with the bigger model.
Tea is important.
